I've done the followings to remove unnecessary apps and services on OS X 10.11 El Capitan on my MBP 13", hoping to optimize the overall system performance.
- Uninstalled ZipCloud -- Never used this software at all.
- Uninstalled Junos Pulse's startup service -- Not a frequent-used software, no need to run in background.
- Disabled spindump -- One of the most useless pre-installed services on OS X history, according to some reports.

- Removed Spigot:
- Uninstall AliPayDispatcher & browser plug-in -- from time to time it eats up CPU like a hog.

- Google Chrome is a performance killer, too. However I still keep it only because browsing experience on it is quite nice.
